Power Factor

Power factor is a device that saves energy and reduces the demand of motor loads by improving the electrical efficiency known as power factor. Industrial and commercial processes vary wildly across different businesses although what they do have in common is that they consume large amounts of energy in carrying out their processes, mainly through the use of motors and machines which can be reduced by installing power factor correction.

Hybrid system

Hybrid solar systems generate power in the same way as a common grid-tie solar system but use batteries to store energy for later use. This ability to store energy enables most hybrid systems to also operate as a backup power supply during a blackout, similar to a UPS system.

Traditionally the term hybrid referred to two generation sources such as wind and solar but more recently the term 'hybrid solar' refers to a combination of solar and battery storage which unlike off-grid systems is connected to the electricity grid.

This can help identify the consumption patterns, cost of electricity, demand charges and network charges. this way will be able to calculate how may kw system is needed to reduce the electricity consumption from the grid and hence reduce the cost.

We start with a single copy of a utility bill from each energy supplier. If we see potential savings, we can look further at a year’s worth of bill data. We breakdown each bill and put the information into a spreadsheet. This data will be analysed and a report generated to show actual and projected cost reductions.
